Why take out dog insurance?

It is worth noting that just because you are insuring your dog, you won't necessarily be covered for vacinations or annual booster jabs. However, even though you most likley will have to pay your vet for these, don't let this put you off taking out dog insurance. Even very healthy dogs get sick. Without wanting to scare monger it is very likely that during your dog's lifetime, you will be taking it to the vets. In fact if you think about it, if you have a child that is ill, the child will be able to tell you what is wrong and you will make a judgement call as to whether to get medical treatment for your child. A dog can't tell you what is wrong with it. You might be taking your dog to the vet for even just a minor problem that it would have revcovered from without a vet visit, but the dog can't talk so you will most likely act cautiously and of course have a vet's bill to show for it. Pet insurance which may seem costly, will most likely be cheaper than vet's bills. If you have a dog or are buying a dog then factor insurance into the cost of owning a dog and you will most liekely save money in the long run.
